Internship/Part-Time Description:

We are seeking very special people with diverse backgrounds. The ideal candidates should have a strong desire to help others, be coachable, able to think strategically/tactically, and be willing to travel between DC, Northern VA, and MD to support events and training activities. For the most part, everyone will be allowed to work remotely from home. ISI will provide stipends, commissions, and bonuses depending on the position.
ISI and TappedIn DC operates in a Thank God Its Monday (TGIM) model which it has defined for other companies.

Social Connecters/Networking Nodes

Description
Connecters will serve as networking nodes at networking events. They are the secret sauce that makes the Intellect Strategies (ISI) social networking events so unique. They will be assigned a group of people based on backgrounds and interests. These events will have a range of senior level executives and government personnel so we are seeking students that are pursuing areas such as Sociology, Psychology, Law, Business, Medicine , Engineering/Sciences, Non-Profits, Marketing, and Sales. They will be expected to facilitate and support the networking needs of their assigned individuals during the event and potentially afterwards. Connecters will also be responsible for managing the operations in areas of the Venue - for the guest relations between ISI and the crowd and Exhibitors/Sponsors. Connecters will also help to promote the events/training through inbound/outbound marketing to their groups/friends. There will be a training curriculum in January that will teach you how to be a great social networker and strategies on how to be resourceful in helping people fulfill their professional/personal goals and how to be a great social networker. The skills we will teach are invaluable for the rest of your life and the people that you meet and work with can become LLF – Long Life Friends (if you so choose) through our model of social networking. All professional training will be paid for by ISI which is valued at $7K.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months experience in your chosen major through a Co-op position, internship, etc. – This is a plus.
  • Use LinkedIn, Facebook, MySpace, or Twitter daily
  • Customer Service Experience is a plus
  • Has a natural passion to meet new people and help others
  • Able to think quickly under pressure
  • Strong sense of integrity with their word
  • Able to demonstrate repeated actions of resourcefulness

Researchers/Social Trend Watchers

Description
Responsible to monitor social networking trends in terms of technology and its impact on society/civilization. Be able to analyze and strongly recommend where the social networking world is headed in communities such as the small businesses, non-profits, international companies, etc. via written reports or spoken presentations.

Requirements

  • Able to use Google Advanced features and other researching tools.
  • Strong persuasive and colorful writing ability.
  • Post projects and discoveries on blogs
  • Able to create visual images to convey your findings
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Experience setting up and supporting Blogs or Wikis is a plus
  • 2 years minimum writing reports
  • Psychology and Sociology background or strong interest is a plus
